Hello and welcome to anyone who might be reading along!  I'm Holly and this is my little corner of the internet- Happiness This Hour.

The title comes from a Walt Whitman quote I particularly like:
"Happiness, not in another place, but this place.  Not for another hour, but this hour."

This particular quote seems to speak directly to me, as I often struggle to live in the moment.  Instead, I find myself wishing away the present and thinking to some unknown point in the future when I will be happier.  When we have a bit more financial stability or when we own a home, or when we can travel more, or when I've lost those ten pounds. I initally started this blog during the time we were trying to conceive. After a missed miscarriage in spring of 2014 and a small struggle with infertility, we found out in October 2014 that I was pregnant again.  I promptly quit blogging due to constant fatigue and general preganancy difficulties. On July 16, 2015, we met our daugher, Greer Josephine.  She is the best thing that has happened to me and Austin.

I hope to use this blog to document my daily life and to help me practice gratefulness in all moments; happiness in all hours.
